How to remove magnetic lashes and store your kit

For sandwich-style magnetic lashes, gently separate the upper and lower strips using your kit’s removal directions. Do not pull the joined strips off your natural lashes. Check, clean as directed and store them dry before reuse.

Check the attachment method before removing them

“Magnetic lashes” describes more than one system. Some lashes attach to magnetic eyeliner; others use upper and lower strips around your natural lashes. Removal directions for one method are not automatically instructions for the other.

The Prep Store’s Magnetic Lash Kit uses upper and lower strips. No lash glue or magnetic eyeliner is needed. Identify the strips and read the directions supplied with your kit before your first wear, so removal is part of the routine rather than a surprise afterwards.

Remove the strips gently, one eye at a time

Wash and dry your hands, use a clear mirror and take your time. Following the supplied directions, gently separate the upper and lower magnetic strips. Handle their bands carefully rather than pulling the decorative fibres.

Do not tug the connected strips away from your eye as though they were one glued strip. Avoid pulling your natural lashes or catching eyelid skin. If they are not separating as expected, stop and check the instructions instead of applying more force.

Remove the lashes before sleeping. If you experience irritation or discomfort, stop using the product. For help identifying a component or understanding the supplied directions, contact The Prep Store.

Check and store your kit before the next wear

Inspect the bands and magnets for damage. Clean only as directed for your exact kit, and let the strips dry before returning them to the compact. Do not choose a solvent, soak the strips or alter the magnets based on instructions for a different lash system.

The matching spare is there as a backup. Keep it protected rather than leaving loose strips in a makeup bag. Reuse depends on care and condition; replace worn or damaged strips instead of trying to reach a promised number of wears. See the care and storage guide for the rest of the routine.

Common removal questions

Do these lashes need lash-glue remover?

This kit does not use lash glue or magnetic eyeliner. Use the kit’s own removal and cleaning instructions; an adhesive-removal routine is not a substitute for separating its magnetic strips correctly.

Do Everyday and Full Glam come off differently?

Both styles use the same upper-and-lower magnetic system. The difference is the lash look, not a different attachment method.

What should I read before putting them on again?

Follow our application guide. If placement was awkward, use the first-use checklist and reset the strips before trying again.
